Teaching Design for Tree Diagrams: Utilizing Students’ Pre-class to Present a Higher-Ordered Thinking Strategy

Mr. Kwok Man Chiu

This video uses “Sustainable Development” in Primary 6 General Studies as the example for illustration. Students need to respond to questions related to the topic on Forms before class, and teacher uses the tree diagram (a higher-order thinking strategy) to organise the information prepared by students before class. Teacher presents the tree diagram in class so that students have a sense of ownership which in turn, fuel their learning motivation. This video contains online class demonstration and it is designed for Primary General Studies teachers.
