Provide Peer Learning with Opportunities for Students

Mr. Kwok Man Chiu

This video illustrates how teachers can provide diversified activities for their students, using an example from Primary 5 Mathematics on calculating the area of a polygon. In the video, the teacher shows how to use Tangram and Flipgrid to provide peer learning opportunities to students. Through designing and participating in the activity, the students not only cultivate their creativity and problem-solving skills but they also gain greater interest in learning as they develop a sense of ownership. By using the online platform to give each other questions and answers, the students can receive feedback and conduct interactive peer learning. The teachers can check their students’ responses on the platform and provide them with appropriate follow-up. This video is designed for Primary Mathematics teachers.
