Pre-Writing Task: Genre Analysis

This lesson is the pre-writing part of writing a proposal. By doing genre analysis, students will ne able to understand the communicative purpose, organization, and language features of the genre of proposal. The teacher uses the HKDSE practise paper as an example to do an analysis with the students. Students will be able to identify the genre, audience, format, and structure of a writing task.
