Integrating Apps in English Language Lessons: A Balanced Approach

In this experience-sharing video, the pre-service teacher shares on the teaching approaches she finds the most helpful. She utilizes a number of IT tools in her lessons to engage students in English speaking tasks. The pre-service teacher also mentions the pros and cons of IT tools on effective teaching of English Language, and the importance and tips on selecting the appropriate ones. Finally, she introduces the features and functions of four online tools (i.e. Kahoot, Quizizz, Mentimeter and EdPuzzle) she finds the most useful and suitable. Brief demonstration on how to use each online tool to teach specific language items and skills of English Language is included.
