"Xiaoqi's New School Uniform": Understanding the Psychological State of the Character

In this lesson, the topic is ‘Xiaoqi's New School Uniform’. The learning objective is to understand the psychological state of the character. The teacher uses drama conventions such as ‘hot-seating’, ‘still-image / frozen moment’ and ‘thought-tracking’ to guide students to deeply understand the character’s moods and thoughts and their reasons. Students are divided into groups for discussion and acting activity. Through engaging in a dialogue with the character in the text, students can enter the role of the character and have a deeper understanding of the content of the text.
