Peer Assessment: Peer Editing in English Writing

Ms. Choy Sheung Yee Sandy

This video explains an online learning activity of peer editing for Primary 6 students who are learning to write English. In the video, the teacher shows how to use OneNote Class Notebook to let students complete a writing assignment. After doing their writing tasks, the students can play roles as ‘assessors’ to read other students’ writing, identify grammatical mistakes and recognise well-written phrases. The students can access their edited writing in the Collaboration Space and learn from reading others’ work. Teachers can use the platform to demonstrate how to edit work and how to give feedback to assessors. This video is designed for Primary English teachers.
