Structured Collaboration: A Peer-Assisted Writing Task
Ms. Choy Sheung Yee Sandy
This video explains an online learning activity that involves peer-assisted writing for Primary 6 students who aim to master sentence structures. In the video, the teacher shows how to use OneNote Class Notebook and Microsoft Teams to design a writing task. The focus of this task is the formation of conditional sentences. Students can use the online tools to brainstorm ideas and collaborate to form conditional sentences that are grammatical and logical. This kind of peer collaboration helps the students to master the language items concerned. The teacher can then use the platform to share the work done by different groups with the whole class and promote peer-learning. This video is designed for Primary English teachers.
