The Major Ethnic Groups and the Great Clans

This video responds to the foundation part "The major ethnic groups and the great clans" of Topic 4 "History, culture and heritage of early Hong Kong region" of the junior secondary History subject curriculum. According to the curriculum document, the learning point of this topic is the different lifestyles of the local clans and other major ethnic groups. In this video, we have invited Mr. Hau Chi Keung, Chairman of the Sheung Shui District Rural Committee, to introduce us to the history of the Hau family, one of the five great clans in Hong Kong. Students can pay attention to the history of the development of the Hau clan in Hong Kong, the traditional customs and their contributions to the early Hong Kong region.
