Fugao is a rhetorical device that treats people and things as if they are in front of you and you call to them. Using Fugao, the author can express strong emotions and make the article more appealing. The teacher then guides the students to indicate where the same rhetorical device has been used in the text, and to identify the addressee, the content and the effect.
