Transit-oriented Development II : New vs Old Urban Development

This video further explains the concepts and the characteristics of Transit-oriented Development (TOD). Using the examples of Mong Kok and Tseung Kwan O, the video explains the differences and similarities between old town development and new town development in Hong Kong. With the help of the digital whiteboard Explain Everything and the 2D & 3D map created in Mapbox, the teacher compared the urban development of the new and old town explicitly. The visual demonstration helps students to enhance their spatial sense and strengthening students’ understanding of the geographical concepts.
